Would you watch a Hitman movie where 47 is the villain?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 05:36 PM PDT

I was thinking about how to do a Hitman movie and then I had an idea. What if in the movie 47 is the villain. We follow around some person who learns that he is 47's next target and that 47 is some unstoppable murder/stealth machine. The protagonist has to avoid windows and any places where he can be sniped, you're never too sure if the guards/cops/waiters are actually 47 or not. Maybe the bodyguards start getting picked off one by one until no one knows who trust. You could also focus on the violence and the tension of a killer in the midst and give it a horror feel. I think there's a lot more you can do with the concept than "let's follow 47 around as he steals disguises, snipes people and rigs accidents"

My idea for a level: African Safari Resort

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 08:13 PM PDT

It would take place in Kenya, on a nice resort with a large game reserve area.

The first target is some evil, rich generic Hitman bad guy on a safari vacation. His route would start at the resort, providing some opportunities for kills and move on to him going hunting. You could disguise yourself as the hunting guide and have to find an itinerary for the trip, allowing you to be isolated with the target for a stealth kill. Another opportunity, inspired by Jurassic Park Lost World, would be there is a display in the hotel lobby with dummy bullets. You could take these and swap them with the real bullets for his gun (also a reversal of Curtains Down in Blood Money), so when he goes to shoot a lion the gun just goes "click" and he gets mauled by it as an accident kill.

The second target is a local warlord who has been poaching animals in the area to fund his militia. And with him are 5 soliders who are also optional secondary targets. Now there could be ways to take the warlord out stealthily. But I think it would present a unique opportunity to use some unsilenced guns in the game that are mostly useless, to be able to engage in combat with the milita at their camp and still maintain Silent Assassin if you kill them all. Being on a hunting grounds, gun shots wouldn't necessarily be suspicious. Maybe even make it into a mission story where you disguise yourself as a military/law enforcement patrol going to fight them, or do it solo and make it look someone got to them first.

And for all targets there could be all kinds of set ups for accident kills. In African Safari culture there's a thing called The Big Five, which are the most dangerous african game: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Cape Buffalo. There could be a challenge where you have set up an kill involving all five animals.

    Here we go...

How much of a level do you play before moving on to the next one?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 12:53 AM PDT

I'm something of a completionist, so I try to do as much as possible before I get too bored and unmotivated. Like I'll go for all the achievements in a level, including doing all the story missions and reaching level 20 mastery, and usually I'll try to complete all the assassination challenges. Discovery and feats I'll also try to complete, but some of the more obscure and difficult ones I won't bother. I also never complete all the Classics, because I find most of them to be really difficult and they just make me too frustrated. I'll also complete at least one escalation, to get the achievement. But the only level I've got 100% completion on is the ICA tutorial, and I have no desire to do the same for any other levels. I've tried in the past, but at a certain point I just get too bored and frustrated, and it makes me lose any interest in playing the game.

Still, the completionist side of my gets agitated when I see that there's unfinished challenges. But I have to convince myself to accept that and just move on to the next level.
