Johnny English originally aspired to be just like Agent 1. 47 aspired to be just like Johnny.

It's okay to kill non-targets if you feel like it. The signature kill of the first mission killed a bunch of non-targets

    The ideal HITMAN experience

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:25 AM PST

So, I've been thinking lately on HITMAN...specifically the ideal HITMAN game. Well, I've been thinking really hard on this lately and, like with an ideal Predator game, there are three key components that I believe need to be retained:

    1. True to the spirit of HITMAN: You are an assassin for hire; you go to massive, sprawling locations with hundreds, sometimes thousands or tens of thousands of people all at once, and go there to kill someone or a select group of people. The ideal HITMAN game needs to be retained to these core values: give us a true open-world sandbox to play with, give us a constantly evolving "World of Assassination". Not just these confined areas that are always sprawling with security, but these massive, sprawling maps where 47 can get around several sub-locations: Have the primary destination (say, New York), and then have several general destinations to undertake "average" contracts in these sub-locations (like Manhattan, Albany, specific buildings or complexes that are big enough to be maps of their own, etc.), and then have the actual story sandbox areas and sniper maps that we are used to seeing in HITMAN games (like the Bank, or the Miami racetrack, etc.). Keep having elusive targets that can show up at any point, and which you can take at your leisure.
    2. Give us customization, have us actually have to buy our equipment for our contracts, and give us a pay. Allow us to, if we're connected online, create contracts as well that we can send out to others to play in their Worlds of Assassination or from the stories. Bring back 47's Instinct Mode shooting as an optional thing to turn on or off, just like normal Instinct Mode in HITMAN. Have a dynamically evolving world, showcase how you use ICA resources to deal with collateral if there is any that you leave behind (for those players who cannot simply meet the mark of perfection that being Agent 47 requires). Give us more weapons options that we can see in the real world. Bring back the DUAL wielding silverballers.
    3. Make it a living, breathing world: give us the World of Assassination. Show us the competition between ICA and freelance hitmen, show us 47 competing or cooperating with other ICA assets apart from Diana, show how our actions, our collateral, our record for good contracts pushes the world to evolve (extra security at your next contract because you messed up at a previous one, left an unconscious witness and now there are more "enforcers", even when you're incognito in your signature suit, ICA assistance getting harder to get as you leave more collateral and, therefore, they attempt to distance themselves, etc.)

This is my ideal HITMAN experience: a true world of assassination, one that brings together the best elements of all of the games into several glorious open-world sandboxes that constantly evolve and change as you do. Tell me...what are your ideal HITMAN experiences? What is the HITMAN game you hope we'll eventually get, dream of, etc.? What more could you add to this kind of experience if you want the same things I do, but more?

Mission stories... too easy or too hard, is there no middle ground?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2020 03:28 AM PST

    Hey all,

I am not experienced with this game, so I may be missing something obvious, which is why I am turning to you guys to help.

I am playing Hitman 2, I quickly got bored because of the mission stories. It was like just following a marker, picking something up, following another marker... ooo, there are guards... get a disguise... proceed to the marker.. pick something up... follow marker... kill.. done. I didnt need to listen to anything or figure anything out, just follow markers and get around minor obstacles.

It was so easy, that it didn't feel right... like I was playing it wrong. It didn't take me much research to find out about turning mission story hints to 'minimal' in the options. It seemed like the perfect setting.

But now, it's gone the other way. Now it's like, 'Find the missing dagger'. Dude, I'm in a freaking CASTLE!!! Is it on the ground floor? Or level 8? Anywhere in between. The beach? Hell.. should I be checking window ledges as well or will it be more obvious when I find it

Point being, I prefer the challenge of minimal, but not to that extreme degree.

Am i playing the game right? What do you guys prefer? I know I can enjoy this game, but just need to know, HOW to enjoy it... lol

Cannot get silent assassin in HITMAN 2

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:51 PM PST

I've played a lot of HITMAN 1 (2016) when it came out and I loved it. I got decently good at it and quickly got silent assassin, suit only on all levels in the game. I didn't pick up HITMAN 2 until just recently. I cannot for the life of me get a silent assassin, suit only rank. What am I doing wrong? Did they change the way silent assassin is ranked? I am a little frustrated because I do not know what I am doing wrong. I always miss the bonus for "never spotted" and "unnoticed kill". However, I just played New York and when I killed Athena I made sure it said "unnoticed kill" and I still didn't get the bonus for this. Please let me know if there is anything I might be missing. Thank you!

Anyone still actually play on Xbox? I'm a few ghost mode challenges shy of 100% completion and matchmaking never turns up any luck. Anyone interested, please feel free to comment/pm me. Thanks in advance for anyone who's willing!
