    [Release] Hitman 2 Mod Manager

    Posted: 04 Jan 2020 03:35 AM PST

    [Release] Hitman 2 Mod Manager

I've just finished writing a simple mod manager for Hitman 2. It might be buggy, but in all of my tests, it worked.

Currently, it comes with a simple autopatch for skipping the intro cutscene, and allows you to add more mods (that use the chunk0patchX format) easily.

It provides a way for you to quickly add and remove mods from your game without requiring you to go into the install folder. It will automatically patch packagedefinition.txt, so it works out of the box.

    Notes:

    • It only works with Skip Intro (which the app comes with an autopatch for) and mods that use the chunk0patchX format (so not the Item Randomiser Mod)
    • The app window will flicker whenever you click to do something. This is normal.
    • If a new patch to the game overwrites one of the mod files, the app will detect this and automatically reinstall the mod using the next available patch number.

In “Death of a Showman” do you think its canon that 47 followed the tutorial, or silent assassin?

The tutorial instructs you to basically kill everyone you see and even poison the innocent secretary lady

Just got all Hitman games on Steam. How do I make them run properly on Windows 10?

    Posted: 04 Jan 2020 12:28 AM PST

As per title. I had fond memories of the first Hitman so I got everything.

But Hitman: Codename 47 is giving me issues. I fixed the graphics and resolution but now the "Use" key is not working properly. I can't get past the elevator at the tutorial because the button doesn't react.

Hitman 2 also has video and resolution issues I haven't managed to fix.

Steam Community isn't that helpful somehow.

So I'm hoping to find some tips and help here. Thanks all.

Are there any references to the events of Absolution in either Hitman or Hitman 2?

    Posted: 04 Jan 2020 12:22 AM PST

Is Absolution a game that a white man, or a black man, or a man of any other race (such as asian, etc) could pretend to be non-canon, without experiencing any events, references, or dialogues in the newer Hitman that seem to confirm Absolution's own canonhood?

    PS4 Hitman legacy pack

I have got "Hitman1" and "Hitman2 Golden edition" in my PS4. I have downloaded all Hitman 1 story mode content (I didn't buy any other dlc pack) but I still can't play the Hitman1 content in Hitman2. I have visited Hitman1 and find the "upgrade to legacy pack" option. However when I clicked into it, it shows that it no longer available. I have tried to click in other items in Hitman1-menu-store that choice, but all items are not available too. Therefore I would like to know how can I play / download Hitman1 in my Hitman2. Thank you. Please help me and give me a reply.

I brought both of them from Hong Kong PSN. And they are both digital version. I have got the Hitman from the PSplus free game in Feb2019 (I am still a PSplus member) so I am not sure is it a complete version. Btw I have got all of the Hitman basic episodes downloaded.

I think the problem is the PS store in Hitman1 has crashed. That makes me can't enter it successfully (All items would show "the item is no longer available" when I press in). I have got the internet of my ps4 AND hope someone can help me. Thank you.🙇🏽‍♂️

Blood Money on Steam not letting me select items to put in crates

    Posted: 03 Jan 2020 01:01 PM PST

As the title states, I'm having a bit of a bug. I'm on the opera house mission and I'm trying to put the real WW2 gun into the janitor's toolbox, but it won't let me scroll through the list of items I can put in there. My mouse has a scroll wheel but it doesn't seem to register anything. I have remapped my keys, which I've heard can cause issues, but I tried resetting back to the default keys and got nothing. Anything I can do to fix this? If not, would a Steam controller work for this game?

A Little Spiel on the Ordering of the Missions in Hitman 1/2 and a New Way to Play

    Posted: 03 Jan 2020 11:07 AM PST

So, I was thinking about the level design progression of the new games and figured I'd share some thoughts. But first, I should share how I like to play Seasons 1/2 now that I've gotten basically all the challenges. I use Hitman Roulette (https://thekotti.github.io/hitman.html) and an excel spreadsheet to randomize the kill conditions for each level and keep track of my score at the end of each one (game overs = 0 points for that mission, no retries).

Anyway, while playing through them this way, I've felt that both games have a great sense of progression and pacing. It goes something like this:

    1. Paris - The easy starter mission. A nice, familiar opening to a new run.
    2. Sapienza - A huge, fun sandbox. More challenging than Paris, but only slightly. Retains the nice, fun feeling of starting a new run this way.
    3. Marrakesh - The first true "challenge" of the run that feels like two worlds in one - one for Zaydan, one for Strandberg.
    4. Bangkok - The run's difficulty spike, especially depending on what kill condition you roll for Ken Morgan. Not to be underestimated.
    5. Colorado - Playing the game this way has actually given me new appreciation for Colorado. Now I think of it more as a "Disc 1 final boss," if that makes sense. It requires time, patience, and the occasional crisis management, but if you can get it all in one perfect run, it's really satisfying. If you try this run for yourself, you might consider applying a multiplier to your Colorado score to reward yourself a little more.
    6. Hokkaido - Personally, I find Hokkaido to be a relatively easy and relaxing mission (maybe it's just the atmosphere), so I consider this a great "winding down" level after Colorado.
    7. Hawke's Bay - In this run, this could be seen as the "quick bonus level" between seasons. Usually a guaranteed SA. Also, since Nightcall isn't part of the Hitman Roulette, you might want to choose a different level, turn off the "specific kills" options, and apply whatever generic kill condition you get to Reynard. That's what I do, at least.
    8. Miami - Serves as a fresh start to Season 2 where you may or may not hit the ground running thanks to the timer on Sierra finishing the race.
    9. Santa Fortuna - This level is so huge and varied that this feels the most like the run turning into an adventure game. Still, it usually ends up being tense, as time does factor into your score.
    10. Mumbai - Being my personal favorite level makes this a highlight of the whole run, but outside of that, this feels like the most character-oriented level of the run, where you might be able to manipulate their schemes to your will, depending on the kill conditions.
    11. Whittleton Creek - This serves much the same purpose as Hokkaido in Season 1. A comparatively easier level (IMO the easiest level in the game besides Hawke's Bay) to help you wind down after the back-to-back challenges of SF and Mumbai.
    12. Isle of Sgail - And this is the "Disc 2 final boss." The twins are two of the most wily targets to get alone and that, combined with the brutal security and appropriately dramatic music, earns this level that distinction.
    13. New York - Unfortunately, since we're currently between seasons, the DLC missions feel like they fit the least in this progression arc, but once Hitman 3 gets here, I think they'll feel like great "connector" levels. As for New York, I feel that it's somewhere between a wind-down level and a true challenge. If you try this run, I'd recommend flipping a coin or something to decide whether you get the data via the vault or the backup drives.
    14. Haven Island - I can't predict the future, but I think Haven's cool, deceptive atmosphere that turns into a raging storm will be a good lead-in to the events of Season 3.

So, what do you think? There are a lot of additional rules you can apply to this run, as well. For example, I usually play with instinct on, but I turn it off for this. Hitman Roulette also never gives you kill conditions that are impossible if you start the level with an empty loadout, so that's a fun option, as well.

My high score for all 14 levels is 1,223,464 points. How will your runs go?

    Posted: 03 Jan 2020 09:20 AM PST

In mumbai mission, the mission story goes kinda simultaneously. But the info section shows one mission at a time and if I pick up a another story, the currunt story are muted in graphics and indications.... Isn't it annoying?
