A mission idea I thought of. (A basketball game) Posted: 08 Dec 2019 11:16 PM PST A few days ago, a friend got me some courtside seats to a Clippers game and I realized just how much is happening behind the scenes at NBA basketball games as an avid fan of the franchise I immediately thought one would make a great setting for a mission. The Location: Within an NBA arena, there are TONS of access levels even within just the crowd itself. At Staples Center specifically, there are the regular seats which a basic spectator would have access to, then there are separate heavily secured zones on the suite levels and for courtside ticket holders. Beyond the regular seating areas there is also a very exclusive lounge called the chairman's room that only courtside tickets get you access to, and a couple of lounges on the suite levels. Beyond the areas accessible to spectators, these arenas are mazes of back passages connecting the areas off-limits to spectators. Some cool areas I think could be included in the level are the press booth, the locker rooms, all of the various concession stands the kitchens, a security center, and the storage areas for the gift shops. in addition, there are also boardrooms and offices for all of the high ranking staff members at staples. The disguises: I think there's much more room for some cool disguises than you would think in a setting like this. Generic Disguises: -47's suit: maybe just a casual outfit, or perhaps a basketball jersey Event security: low-level security that would operate the metal detectors at the entrances and have access to the regular spectator areas as well as the kitchens and concession stands. Elite Security: Staples Center is well known for it's higher tier security personnel wearing flashy red suits and watching over those in courtside seats and the suite level. Bodyguard: the highest level security disguise available access to pretty much everywhere except the court itself. Maybe have only 2-6 of them on the map. Food vendor: basically the same access as the people operating the food stands in Miami. Chef: a basic chef disguise with access to the kitchens associated with the elite lounges on the courtside and suite levels. Waiter/Bartender: serves food in the higher security lounges and is the highest level disguise that can be used to poison people's drinks. Arena staff: This disguise would act the same way janitors would on other maps and could blend in by cleaning the floors and such, they would also man the ticketing booths and maybe the gift shops. The unique disguises: The Sheikh: Access to the suite level lounge and his personal suite. The referee: The coach: Access to his locker room and the courtside area. Also all of the areas accessible to spectators. In addition, the coach could have the ability to pull players out of the game and call time-outs and such. Opposing player: Access to his team's locker room and the courtside area, also access to the court. The mascot: A big obnoxious animal costume, they could also just use the flamingo and make one of the teams the flamingo. The team owner: Access to the locker room and both the courtside area and his own personal suite. Steve Ballmer (The owner of the Clippers is famous for attending every game, this disguise would be similar to him or Mark Cuban who does the same). Cheerleader: Male cheerleader with access to the cheerleader's locker rooms and the court during timeouts or half time. The press: Access to the courtside press area, and the press box. The commentator: Access to the courtside area and the press box. The medical staff: Very similar to the medical people in Miami, but these people could have access to the court if there was an injury. Also, this would be a great opportunity to have people from other missions brought back in as spectators (Jason portman could have a box, maybe some members of the Class, the cowboy from Hokkaido, the doctor from Haven, maybe Jebediah Block, Maybe papa Washington). One of the coolest parts of the mission I think would be the opportunity to totally change things up for potential bonus missions: Staples center for example while I was there for a basketball game is also often used for hockey matches, concerts, speeches, awards ceremonies, stand up comedy shows, etc...) They could use it for a different event in bonus missions and make the missions more replayable. The base mission: What I had in mind was having two targets, 1 male and one female. The male could be an actual player in the game and the female could be a VIP spectator watching from one of the nicest boxes and protected by a team of bodyguards. I see this as somewhat similar to a very remastered version of curtains down. Just sharing something I think would be fun! Let me know what you think :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Dec 2019 11:33 AM PST 3 wanted men have found the United States nuclear launch codes and are hiding in the tropical city of Havana where they (supposedly) cannot be tracked. But guess who else is there? Yup, agent 47. Havana will be the biggest level ever in a hitman game, It's essentially 4 levels in 1 with a whole neighborhood connecting these 4 key areas The key areas are: The Capital building Hotel Tryp Havana Libre a ferry landing and a military site To get around these areas quicker Agent 47 can use cars to get around, (I know it sounds crazy but just hear me out) Killing your targets in this mission is a lot of fun. You can cause the elevator to break in the hotel You can drop a chandelier on one of them in the capital building You can push them into the water at the ferry landing You can wait for them to meet in an alley way and kill them all there. Car bomb. Or you could simply become their taxi driver, drive up to the military base, leave them there and wait for soldiers to execute them. See? Lots of ways to kill them individually or as a group. Now for disguises. You can dress up as a: Police officer Soldier high ranking Member of the capital Janitor of the capital gangster. Escape methods include: Stealing a car Using a boat Taking the bus. So? What do you guys think. [link] [comments]
Elusive Target, The Chef, Silent Assassin Posted: 08 Dec 2019 08:33 AM PST I took a huge risk doing the following tactic, and it was thrilling that I pulled it off. I had the default loadout, starting at the main gate. I immediately ran into the front door and headed into the basement stairwell. I waited for one hairdresser to walk by, then followed him into the locker room and snuck into the server disguise found on the bench. I made my way to the kitchen stairwell and distracted the guard stationed there with a coin, then choked him out and hid his unconscious body in the closet. I picked up his gun to use later. I waited in at the 1st floor landing of this stairwell until the chef and his entourage arrived and were heading to the basement kitchen. I body blocked his entourage by bumping into them repeatedly until the chef was completely downstairs at the bottom of the stairwell, then I ran after him, stopping to drop the guard's gun at the bottom of the steps to distract the entourage. I ran up behind the chef just before he could reach the kitchen door and killed him by strangulation and hid his body in the closet moments before the entourage descended and walked around the corner. I managed to pull off the hit while maintaining silent assassin! I casually walked back out of the front gate to complete the mission. [link] [comments]
Santa Fortuna secret tunnel puzzle Posted: 08 Dec 2019 06:46 AM PST Hello, I've just completed the redacted challenge in Santa Fortuna and I'm a bit curious about one point. I passed the floor puzzle using trial and error with multiple reloads, which was quite annoying, and I'm wondering if there is any indication in the game as to what the correct sequence is? like a diagram hidden somewhere, clues in an intel description, slight differences on the right flagstones that I didn't notice, or whatever? New Item Idea: Roll of Modified Bodybags Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:32 AM PST Pacified or killed people can be placed in these body bags to be treated by npcs as body bags. It doesn't make the npcs alarmed at the sight and they cannot wake them up. The body bags will be transported by npcs to the body bag normal location for actual body bags. Useful for hiding unconscious people in plain sight/ targets when no hiding spot is available. Useful for ETs to pacify target and attempt other objectives before completing an objective and being unable to restart. Inspired by the fixer ET. [link] [comments]
Linux (Proton) Textures stuck at Low? Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:05 PM PST Hello, posting here in hopes to find fellow Linux players that may be able to help me understand whats happening. I'm running Hitman 2 through Proton 4.11-9 and it performs great, but I notice my texture quality setting is stuck at Low, which makes some of the visual elements unappealing and out of place.. my hardware can definitely support it but I'm new to the Linux gaming scene and not sure where to start looking. In any case I'm excited to be able to play on my daily driver finally, Proton makes life golden :) Specs:
