    Anyone else find Hitman relaxing?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 04:41 PM PST

It's oddly a relaxing serious. Maybe because it won't get very loud unless you decide it should. And you can spend most of the time just wondering around and taking people out, while others remain unaware. Then make a clean getaway with no fuss.

Of course there are loud explosive deaths but like a good stealth game they aren't every five seconds.

    It's the little things

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 12:04 PM PST

I was doing a kill everyone challenge in Hokkaido, and 5-10 minutes after I killed Soders, I hear KAI say this:

"It appears that Mr. Soder's weight went down 3/4 of an ounce after his death. Maybe Dr. McDougall was right after all."

In 1907, Dr. Duncan McDougall conducted an experiment, in which out of the six patients who died, one lost 3/4 of an ounce of weight immediately after death, which is supposedly the weight of the soul. I just love this because it's such a little line that requires so much niche knowledge, and it let's you learn something new. I don't know why but the KAI's line made me smile.

As 2019 is now rolling out, Hitman 2 was my best purchase, even though I bought it on release day in 2018.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 11:58 AM PST

I won't bore you with a big post but to be sitting here over a year later, still getting new content, enjoying coming here to see the road map, the great community, etc. it was money well spent.

Looking forward to the new content tomorrow and to the future of the franchise.

    Whittleton Creek Shower Thoughts

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 06:27 AM PST

Diana's mention of Whittelton Creek's wide roads. Have any of y'all ever actually seen the width of those roads? No car could pass through if there are cars parked (especially in front of the Wilson's).

Their dog's grave is at the back of the house (wonder what happened since a bone and dog bed can be found upstairs)

There is a red cup in the same room- Who drinks that?

When the bus picks up 47 in the exit, how can the bus come from that direction if the other road from there is blocked?

For fun- most highlighted NPC's in fact do have their names attached to certain mailboxes around the neighborhood

Before a patch, that little girl poster on the bulletin board flipped you off before it was changed to being wholesome

    Amendment 25

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 02:28 PM PST

    Spoilers ahead.

Whenever I hear about that mission, I hear: the little kid squeezing a rubber duck at 47 in the airplane, Mark Parchezzi III and how amusing he is, and oh it's a disappointment.

But is nobody seriously gonna talk about how amazing and elaborate of a plan that is, for The Franchise to effectively usurp the United States and get their way?

Purposely causing a car accident to kill the Vice President, then threatening everyone into choosing Daniel Morris, a big-time Franchise member as Vice President, then finally assassinating the President of the United States, so Daniel Morris could become President of the United States.

And if anything went wrong, Mark Parchezzi III could be blamed for it (and was), and he was also unidentified due to the fact that he was a clone.

I'd actually be fascinated to know what would happen if 47 didn't intervene.

Managed my first real SASO (Whittleton Creek, Pro.)

    Posted: 27 Nov 2019 03:21 PM PST

Last Monday, after failing at the last level of The O'Leary Conflagration, I decided to try for SASO on this map (this map seems to be the easiest to pull this for Hitman 2), while trying the nice suit I earned after poisonind The Censor.

So, I took the standard start, with a lockpick, a silenced gun and poison pills on the map, then went to the greenhouse to take a blunt, and finally took the pills in the park and a wrench, muffins and the screwdriver on the same street.

I first started with the clues, first giving Batty his blunt and then taking the court files, before going to the bay with a shovel to take the cigar box and finally I entered Connelly's parking, lured the guard in the kitchen, entered, shoot the recording and took the letter, thereby fulfilling this objective.

Then I went into the Connely's parking, took the battery, launched it just in front of the fire hydrant and then waited for Connely to come; I then broke the hydrant and fled, before being informed Connely died by electrocution.

I then went in front of Janus's house, closed the door and attracted the guard in the kitchen; I then waited for Janus to go to his room before putting the muffin and sprinckling poison and fleeing.

While waiting, I went to Schmidt's house to take the row (and try to open the safe in the basement) and, after Janus died, I left by the raft. SASO and, since I had earlier completed challenges related to sniping both targets at once, I completed all classical challenges in Whittleton Creek on Pro.

My first real SASO (Haykes Bay doesn't count); I have already some ideas for doing SASO Mumbai.
