Unpopular opinion: Hawke's Bay is worse than The Final Test.

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 12:46 AM PST

I think that both content-wise and enjoyment-wise, Hawke's Bay lies below the final tutorial mission in Hitman 2016. It has actual mission stories, disguises, and many ways to eliminate the target. I feel like Hawke's Bay should've been a tutorial level, but definitely not one of the six main missions.

    Thoughts?

    My hottake for Hitman 3

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 03:09 AM PST

Romania is called an epilogue. So the Story must conclude beforehand in the Argentina mission.

Romania is obviously the country of 47s origin and Ortmeyers lab.

    Now my hot take:

47 dies in Argentina, preventing something bad. IOI said they wouldn't be returning to Hitman for quite a while so a conclusive ending like 47s death wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Now Romania as the epilogue site is spicy. If 47 dies, then we could see Another clone breaking out of the reconstructed fab where 47 originally emerged from in 2000, setting the stage for basically Agent 47: 2.

Romania is a small level like New Zealand, only 5 mastery levels, so it will be narratively focused.

Alright that's my hot take, What's your opinion?

I don't know about you, but I glad to finally have some more locations that make sense for my winter clothes

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 09:44 PM PST

There were too many warm places in the first two games that made me not want to wear my outfits with winter coats. Or should I say too few locations that made sense to wear them.

Excited that every location in 3 looks like it'd work for winter wear

(I'm assuming that high up in the sky at Dubai the air is a little chilly)

Anyone else super happy they changed his face from Hitman 2?

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 03:36 AM PST

Yes I know this is a touchy subject, as some people like it and other dont like his H2 face. For me it literally looked like he was ill. His face was practically green and pale but then the back of his head normal. I also didnt really like how his neck seemed way longer in 2 than it did in 1, and judging from the trailers they have seemed to have changed that in H3 again which is nice.

    Anyways, what are your thoughts?

I feel like the new face is a good mix between the super young H2016 face and the (At least what some people would call) the H2 older, angrier face

Unpopular opinion: Im really looking forward to the final level. (spoilers)

While I find it totally unacceptable that we were lied to about having 20 mastery levels for every mission. The mission itself looks like a really cool dramatic level. To keep in mind I never really liked Colorado or sgail to begin with this feels like a nice change in direction. The whole train feel looks really cool and I cant wait to see who the target is. But everyone has the right to be slightly pissed at io. Please at least give the level a try.

“Refine your approach as you advance across 20 mastery tiers per level.” -December 8th, 2020 (spoilers)

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 08:44 AM PST

And yet, while the game has 6 levels, only 5 have 20 mastery levels. One of the levels has only 5 mastery levels.

Had they simply been honest about what to actually expect it would (edit: perhaps 'could' is a better fit) have been fine/understandable, but now that quote seems to show they've lied about the amount of master tiers and by extension content expected to be found in said level.

It's disappointing to say the least.

Edit: and this post was immediately being downvoted and I see it happening to other users who point this stuff out, and nobody has been able to show that IO-I didn't lie. This is why they'll keep doing it, because they know people will the practice.

Edit2: and now people have arrived to downplay being lied to like that isn't a problem this industry has had lately when advertising it's products. I don't know how people take themselves seriously when arguing that it's not a big deal to be sold a product with wrong information about what it contains.

Anyone else planning to play with Instinct, Guides etc off?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 04:45 PM PST

I really truly regret playing with these turned on for the past games.

I feel you get a lot more bang for ya buck with everything turned off. Its like Blood Money level suspense and exploration but with all the nice new mechanics. I honestly got bored with the game waaaay quicker because of instinct and guides.

    Can't wait to play H3
