    New Hitman 2 Patch on Steam

    Just noticed a 500 MB patch on Hitman 2 today. Checked the Steam forums and IOI_Clem posted the following.

    We're updating and renewing some back-end server configurations.

    There are no changes to content or gameplay. The download size might be larger than you'd expect for such a change, and the reason for it is that the server work included in this patch requires us to include some additional resources. Again, nothing that will be noticeable by players.

    Considering that Hitman 2 hasn't had any new content since June and new patches since last November, I was extremely surprised by this. I figure there is two possibilities for this patch. Getting ready for transferring progress to Hitman 3 on EGS and eventually Steam or remove the need for staying online for the campaign so we only need to be online for contracts and sniper assassin.

    Was playing the Miami map and decided to do one of the story arcs where you dress up as a doctor and poison the driver. What 47 said made me die laughing.

    Knox: "Isn't that poisonous?"

    Agent 47: "yes"

    Knox: "should I be concerned?"

    Agent 47: "i'm not"

    Ever since that recent update for hitman 2 my games been crashing at launch. (just to clarify once the launcher opens up and you click play after it goes full screen then it crashes)

    I bought this game at launch and before the update it never crashed once on me.

    I verified twice and even reinstalled the game

    playing on windows 10

    gtx 1080ti (4k) (you'd be suprised in 4k at max details i get around 60-70 fps )

    HITMAN 2 random moments of lag

    I've been playing HITMAN 2 and every like 5-15 minutes I'd get these sudden moments of lag where everything would freeze for a second except the sound but before and after those freezes the game runs perfectly fine. My PC specs are RTX 2080, 32gb DDR4, i7 9700k and I play with max settings. I've been looking around and seeing a lot of different solutions but non of it's working so far. Have any of you experienced this before?
