I guess IOI didn't expect people to complete the level with a briefcase in hand.

This Hitman trilogy is what games should be.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2021 03:27 AM PST

Now publisher and business decisions aside - yes they've not been the best at that. But the games themselves? Man they are absolutely magnificent. The craft involved in these huge clockwork sandbox puzzles is just awe inspiring.

I've maybe come across 1 bug in my time playing. They're just so well made, so well crafted, and each sequel, even though some say "it's just more hitman", has taken what makes them good and added to the formula or put a twist on it.

I wish all games were as polished as this series. I also wish entire games were even half as replayable as a single level in hitman is. And the writing. I love how they play the whole thing super straight faced when they are making a game where 47 lives by Wiley coyote logic. It's just so good.

They've made missteps, but none of those mistakes have been in the game themselves. Its a shame the industry just doesn't seem to care about making polished products unlike IOI.

    What a series.

Chongquing is actually really fun SA/SO

    Posted: 31 Jan 2021 11:47 PM PST

I know this map gets a lot of hate for being two fortresses, but I really loved doing SA/SO on this map. Sneaking around the vents in the ICA facility felt really cool, and while taking out Hush wasn't as exciting, it still felt cool to find a route to scale the building. For Royce, I snuck into the core of the ICA facility, strangled her and her guard, then dumped her in the pool, using the escape hatch to exit, and I waited for Hush in his meditation chamber before strangling him and dumping him out the window. I feel like this map gets over-hated for the fortresses despite them having multiple approaches to get in unseen relatively easily. Anyways, I'm curious to see the communities thoughts on this, given how device of a map Chongquing is.

    The Serial Killer Challenge

    Posted: 01 Feb 2021 02:57 AM PST

Not sure if anyone else has done a challenge with these kinds of rules. I know kill everyone Challenges exist but I took it a little further. I did the test run in Sapienza.

    Rules:

    1. You must eventually kill everyone on the map.

    2. You must do this stealthily. If you are compromised you must either kill everyone who knows what you did quickly enough that combat does not start, or restart at your latest safe.

    3. You must primarily use melee weapons such as knives or a blunt and neck snap combo. The silenced pistol must be used sparingly.

    4. You must not hide any bodies. Let the corpses be found.

    5. When you have gotten to the point where you think you cannot kill anymore without alerting a crowd, you may use an unsilenced gun to kill everyone remaining in a mass shooting.

    6. You must either do it in your suit or pick one disguise and stick with it for the entire time.

    7. Prioritise killing civilians above targets and armed guards.

Thornbridge has the worst housekeeping staff I’ve ever seen.

    Posted: 31 Jan 2021 12:26 PM PST

Thornbridge, while a large mansion, is a finite private home with enough maids and butlers to to have three manning each room. Yet all over the place is large puddles on the floor, loose bricks, quarters scattered on the floor, their cleaning supplies left out all over the place. If I had an army of housekeepers and that sill the state of the house I'd be pissed.

Just a funny observation I thought I'd point out.
