Let me start by saying Hitman 3 is great. The maps are fantastic, the engine runs smoothly, graphics look great, story was alright, target methods are fun. The game itself is a 9/10, maybe 8 if we're putting up against the other games.

What isn't great is IO. The content we're being given is shit. I'll say it. SHIT.

Escalations are time wasters, nobody wants a mountain of cheaply made 3 stage escalations that can be done easily in 10 minutes by being lazy or designed so frustratingly that it takes an entire week to do SA. Putting them behind a paywall is beyond laughable. They're side content, stop promoting them like they're the reason we're following the game and stop making them so linear it's almost pointless to play through them, that's regressing back to Absolution's design philosophy, NOBODY wants that.

We're not getting any new maps and we've gotten 1, 2 new elusive targets, which by themselves are fundamentally flawed and lock players out of content. You need to be launching these things out every fortnight with multiple unique kills and you 100% need to think about Special Assignments/Bonus Missions. These maps are beautiful, use them to their full potential.

The featured contracts are dreadful. They're being made by people who honestly don't give a fuck about the contracts mode. It's painful to play through and boring to complete. If anyone enjoys these good, I'm glad you do, but they're painfully unenjoyable to me.

Don't even get me started on those who, like me, bought the Deluxe Edition and expected what they paid for, all post launch content. There's what, 6 ok escalations in the Deluxe Edition and that's it. It was a scam. An extra £20 for 6 escalations, only to be sold another 7 for £40. There's no way around it, that's a terrible business strategy that feels like a slap in the face for getting excited about the game.

This isn't sustainable. If this keeps up the golden age of Hitman content will be completely wasted. Give us something. C'mon!
