Make your own hitman loadout screens ! (Website)

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 12:38 PM PST

    Hey all,

after seeing all of those loadout screen posts, I decided to create a website which you can easily use to generate a loadout image. So, after less than a day, I have created (http://customhitman.com)

edit: there may still be problems with the DNS server, so please use this link instead if the 1st one doesnt work for you!: http://46.101.14.133

here is a sample generated image which I have made: https://imgur.com/gallery/DV1GQjM

To use this website, simply hover over a card/background and you will see an option to set the image. Then click on a text to change it too (only some texts can be changed, the main ones)

please bear in mind that this website is no where near complete, and EXPECT a ton of bugs, there might be issues right now with different browsers, so if things don't work, please try using Google Chrome if you're not doing so already.

Downloading the image works best on PC, I wouldn't advise doing it on mobile, you'll end up with only a part of the image downloaded.

Thank you, I hope many of you will find this useful/fun.

(Random) What if Diana commented on 47's chosen suits/disguises?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 07:28 PM PST

Just abit of fun here. Imagine Diana made a comment for most of 47's suits/disguises based on location/event/etc.

    Example.

47 arrives in Paris wearing the clown suit. Diana comments something like "Wrong party, 47"

He goes to Miami wearing the Ninja costume. "Way to be inconspicuous, 47."

47 lands in Hokkaido wearing the plague doctor disguise. Diana just starts laughing.

I know some suits can't be unlocked and some are location restricted, but lets have fun with this, kay

The Undying Returns we SHOULD have gotten

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 03:25 AM PST

This franchise does something I wish other games did. Making replays more streamlined and easier to encourage them.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 11:36 PM PST

When you complete challenges and increase your mastery level, you get rewarded with more items you can bring with you, ability to smuggle items in certain locations, and most importantly, being able to start already disguised in a certain location and not having to redo stuff like starting from the beginning and acquiring that disguise. In Paris, I can start right at the auction room without having to go through the trouble of getting the invitation, getting frisked, and going up there. In Sapienza, you gotta look for the card key to get to the underground lab but once you reach enough mastery level, you can start right there and skip the hassle.

There's a lot of RPGs I'd like to replay like Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Persona 5 Royal, etc. However, I'd have to sit through the long cutscenes, go through the tedious stuff, etc. just to get to the stuff I actually want to replay. Persona 5 Royal has a great battle system and I'd like to replay it with different Persona setups but I'd have to sit through hours and hours of filler and do the puzzles again just to get to the battle system I want to replay. While Pokemon Sword and Shield have a shorter main campaign and wide diversity of available Pokemon to encourage replay, there's still a bunch of filler and forced trainer fights I have to go through to get to the gyms, not to mention being forced to do the random mini games. Some fight sequences in Red Dead Redemption 2 are fun but I have to go through hours of riding through wilderness to experience them again.

There's already a perfect Hitman movie and it is called Le Samouraï

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 05:48 PM PST

It's surprising that among so many movie recommendations to Hitman fans, I've never seen this one. This movie basically is perfect foundation for future adaptations. I'll try my best not to spoil the story:

    • Main character is an emotionally closed off professional assassin. He is extremely meticulous, lives a secluded life focusing entirely on his job and wears badass looking suits.
    • Movie spends a lot of its runtime showing the process of his preparation and planning before killing.
    • I'm 90% sure that the caged bird from Blood Money is a nod to this movie.
    • Movie is focused a lot on mundane details.

Oh yeah, it's also an incredible existential film that examines loneliness, isolation, and living a purposeless life, if such things interest you. It was also incredibly influential. Movies like Taxi Driver, Drive, The Driver (people who are inspired by this really love the word drive it seems), and Ghost Dog wouldn't exist without it.

Also, don't expect over the top musical editing and cool shootouts and tonnes of kills. It's a deliberately paced and edited movie that has a lot of silent moments.

I feel like Romania gets more flak than it deserves

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 03:08 PM PST

Yes, it's linear, and yes, it's completely unlike every other level in the trilogy, but people who criticise Romania for that are ignoring that it was never supposed to be a fully fledged level.

Romania was designed to be the epic ending to the World of Assassination trilogy; it was supposed to wrap up 47's most recent set of adventures and remind fans of everything that we've done over the past five years. Putting all of that storytelling into a sandbox level isn't easy, and other H3 levels had to bottleneck players into certain positions in order to pull it off (such as the intros of Dubai and Berlin, the limited number of exits in Mendoza and Dartmoor or the objective to access the data core in Chongqing).

And that's not mentioning that it's also very much keeping in tradition with the rest of the Hitman series. The final mission is always weird compared to the others. Just take a look at Blood Money's Requiem mission, which was very much like Romania in that everyone was a target, and getting a Silent Assassin rating was extremely difficult. Despite not being representative of the game at all, it's still looked upon fondly by fans as the climax of a brilliant game and one of the most iconic moments in all of gaming.

    What do you guys think?

cheers to the most needlessly drawn-out grind in the game! only 12 MILLION points for that final mastery level...
