This November marks the 20th anniversary of the Hitman franchise – and we're in the mood to celebrate!

Agent 47 was first introduced to the world in November 2000 with the release of Hitman: Codename 47. Since then, the franchise has spanned a total of seven major games with Agent 47 travelling to 6 continents and performing more than 100 missions. Across those 7 games, we are proud and excited to announce that the Hitman franchise now has more than 70 million lifetime players.

Not only that, the franchise has developed into a multimedia brand with two movie adaptions, two novels, a comic series and two mobile games.

This year, we have already announced HITMAN 3, the eight major video game instalment in the franchise and we're looking forward to sharing more news and reveals in the next few months leading up to launch on 2o January 2021.

We are immensely proud to reach the significant milestone of 70 million lifetime players and we are honoured to have such a strong community of players, fans and partners that have helped us to continue making games, building on Agent 47's legacy and providing hours and hours of enjoyment in the last 20 years. Thank you for your inspiration, passion, dedication and support that has fuelled our drive to continually improve and create.

To commemorate the 20th year of Hitman and Agent 47 this November, we've lined up some moments of celebration that will enable us to reflect on what we have achieved over the years and to look ahead at what's to come in HITMAN 3.

Join us over the coming weeks for the celebrations by using #Hitman20Years across social media and share your favourite memories, trailers, fan art, gameplay clips, cosplay and anything else that reminds you of the past 20 years. We'll be doing the same on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook – and sharing the best of your contributions too!

Agent 47 weighs 470 on the scale in hit man two. Not sure if this has been noticed before I’m new to the franchise

Xbox Series X performance - 60fps in quality mode

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 11:52 PM PST

In case no one's tried it yet - on the Xbox Series X, Hitman 2 (so... all of the World of Assassination) can be played in quality mode, with the unlocked framerate.

To my eyes, this was a nice smooth 60fps :-)

Previously the Xbox One X was only able to get 60fps in performance mode.

Not a huge thing, since Hitman 3 will be "properly" optimised for the Series X, but still - nice to know.

Fun Fact: When you first enter the Miami level, behind you are NPCs who look like they walk around it but in reality they teleport. Also, you can kill them without any problems.

    Placing unconscious bodies on beds/chairs

    Posted: 11 Nov 2020 10:10 AM PST

I had this idea while playing Metal Gear Solid 5, and I was thinking: why didn't more stealth games implement something like this?

Basically: place an unconscious body on a bed or a chair to make it look like the NPC is sleeping. Guards will probably be berated that they were sleeping on the job and, since they are woken up in a bed, they would probably think that 47 knocking them unconscious was only a dream (although this can be OP).
