    I'm starting this replay after responding to the Youtube video 'I Finally Understand Hitman' by Leadhead.

    My reply: " There is another layer of experience you haven't explored. Try turning off ALL assistance features (most importantly: instinct, minimap, NPC markers, hints, picture in picture). You will be so much more immersed in the density of the levels; you will think harder about how to stalk your targets; you will be trying to memorize and predict patrol patterns instead of 'x-ray scanning' them; you will get to know the locations, building layouts, pathways by actually casing them personally; you will be listening behind a closed door before opening them; you will not automatically be informed about which areas are restricted for your disguise, so you'd have to analyse the environment more by what an area is meant for in that world...I could go on, but it's best that you see it for yourself. "

    I have a small Youtube channel, and I haven't uploaded any HITMAN content, so this'll the first of many. Below are my settings:

    • Master difficulty • Instinct OFF • Mini Map OFF • Target Information OFF • Vital Info Messages • NPC Icons OFF • Attention Alert OFF • Camera Grid OFF • Global Hints OFF • Picture in Picture • And pretty much OFF to everything else except for Weapon HUD! • Resolution: 3440x1440 • Graphics Settings: Ultra • Simulation Level: Highest • CPU: i7 7700K 4.6Ghz • GPU: GTX 1080 Ti 11GB FE • Memory: DDR4 32 GB 3200Mhz

    The framing of Hope, South Dakota is genuinely hilarious

    You can really tell that IO Interactive isn't from America or any country closely tied to it, because they frame South Dakota how America frames third world countries. I'm sure you all know about the Poverty Filter, how American filmmakers will put a piss yellow filter over any footage of Mexico, the Middle East, etc, to make everything look grimier and more Other to the audience, when in reality its just a normal goddamn place on earth.

    For the first while in Hope, it has the fucking poverty filter. Hope is depicted exactly how Hollywood depicts Mexico. Full of rattlesnakes, tumbleweeds, and everything is yellow. I am not being sarcastic when I say I love this. It's good to see America get flanderized the way it flanderizes other countries. A small town in South Dakota focusing on a desert, confederate bar, a fallen Main Street USA... its ridiculous and I love it.

    The only 3 things I want in Hitman 3

    1. A button in the pause menu to reload last save. Reloading the last save now takes a long time, due to the game having to spend time loading the list of saves, before the player selects the last save. Trying to perfect a run is pretty hard work due to this loading time and this button would make it so much easier.

    2. NPCs knocked out during an accident in which the target is killed shouldn't count as bodies found. If other NPCs are knocked out during an accident, this is just a realistic accident in which the target also happened to be killed. As long as no one else was killed this shouldn't count against the player.

    3. A bit of information in the intel menu on how the run is doing. I have spent so long trying to perfect a run with the only information becoming available at the end, meaning I have to complete the run hoping there's been no bodies found. Especially in the accident example above, there's no way to tell if an NPC's body was found during the accident because the "body found" event indicator triggers at the same time as the target elimination event. To achieve good run times, accidents sometimes have to be performed at a distance. Just a persistent readout in the intel menu showing basic information of what's happened during the run would be very helpful.

    Everything else about the game's formula is perfect, please don't change anything else. Hitman 2 is the best game of the generation for me, by some distance.

    Damn this one was fun. And stressful. Ken is easy, you can poison his food without anyone noticing at just about any point and arent even tresspassing. Jordan, however, oh boy. Sneaking to the third floor was probably the most I've save scummed in my life. But somehow I did it, and injected him with poison in the 2 second window where no one was looking at him (thanks coin toss). sneaking down someone triggered an alarm and that scrambled all the patrol routes but eventually I made it to the basement exit.
