Has the franchise always been this good?

I've dabbled in the series here and there but recently I got Hitman finished it in 2 days then Impulse bought Hitman 2 and have been playing nonstop. Currently finishing that up while wiping drool from my mouth in anticipation for Hitman 3. How did I not know.

    ICA Remote Text Distraction

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 11:56 AM PDT

Imagine you're guard #6 patrolling the perimeter of some billionaire's evil lair and your other guard buddy Tom goes to take a leak but comes back four inches taller, white, inexplicably wearing a beanie even though it's 90 degrees outside, and conversing like "How do you do, fellow guard?" even though the two of you have been best friends since the third grade.

But it's easier to just play along and hold back tears knowing Tom is sitting in some port-a-potty in his underwear and with a snapped neck because the alternative would mean you end up right there beside him.

"I'm doing great, Tom," you say to this new stranger as he walks by and steals the safe room key from your belt. Your ex-wife was right, you should have gotten a real job but it might be too late because this stranger is realizing he needs your clothes to get in as well.

And while you were reading this I stole your precious Soda Can. My patented ICA Remote Text Distraction strategy proves successful once again!

    - World of Assassination Roulette - v. 1.3

    - World of Assassination Roulette - v. 1.3

    https://preview.redd.it/wwgvrwnzzcb51.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e7bb80b3c381d9425fc9224a692a11c6606efeb

Update v1.3 to the World of Assassination Roulette is live!

New features for the World of Assassination Roulette:

    • Added a checkbox for "Player's Choice Kills" under the kill condition categories. These are freebies - the conditions will read "Kill using any method" if rolled!
    • Added a checkbox for "Neck Snaps" under the kill condition categories. These are rolled slightly less often than other kill conditions.
    • Added an "Accident Boost" checkbox that doubles the chances of accidental or poison kill conditions being rolled. This was added to optionally compensate for the wide variety of kills included under that category's umbrella.
    • Removed Propane Flask Explosion as a kill condition as it was coming up too often and was largely redundant with "Kill with an accidental explosion."
    • Added the Beak Staff in Whittleton Creek to the "Rare Weapons" category.
    • Some tweaking of roll probabilities.

    Play it here: https://3facedjanus.github.io/

Also, I plan on starting work on a separate page for a Patient Zero Campaign Roulette soon!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're an obsessive Hitman 2016 / 2 player like me, you've probably enjoyed several hours of fun with Hitman Roulette, either from Kotti (https://thekotti.github.io/hitman.html) or Hitmaps (https://roulette.hitmaps.com/). I love both of these, but I felt that there were a few options and tweaks that I could try to add. I woke up a few days later, having made my own roulette. Here's the breakdown:

Things the World of Assassination Roulette can do that they don't:

    • Has full roulette options for The Final Test and Nightcall (which Kotti's randomizer doesn't have) and Freeform Training (which neither have).
    • Pick-and-choose between five different major kill condition types, additionally differentiating between items / weapons found in-level and items / weapons that are loadout-only. You can also choose from several levels of specificity for each type - such as guns by overall type, by type and loud/silenced, or by specific model name. Want kill conditions that are in-level guns only? Loadout explosives only? Generic accidents only? Just tweak the checkboxes to your heart's content.
    • Objective Roulette - Randomize the conditions for completing required mission objectives - the Virus in Sapienza, the Data in New York, the Constant in Sgail, and even the Clues in Whittleton Creek. This can be turned off if you want to just keep the roulette to the targets.
    • Nonlethal weapons are added to the options! This will add kill conditions that say, "Kill (Target) after pacifying them with (Nonlethal melee weapon)." Finally, you can get some real use out of the Crystal Ball / Violin / etc. or those cool-looking rare nonlethal weapons like the Khatvanga or the Imperial Filigree Eggs.
    • A "Sniper Assassinations" option for when you want to sometimes use sniper rifles even if otherwise you select in-level conditions.
    • A "Player's Choice Kills" option that will let you kill a target with any method if you're lucky.
    • Agency Pickup Roulette, which randomizes the location of your Agency Pickup (if you're using one).
    • Has a "Trim Down Melee Weapons" option to limit in-level killing tools to some of the more interesting options (instead of getting Screwdriver or Kitchen Knife again and again...)
    • An option to warn you about insanely difficult in-level accident kills that require you to drag a target across the map, such as killing Reza Zaydan with electricity or killing Sierra Knox by drowning or killing Nolan Cassidy by pushing him off a ledge. (Trust me, it's harder than you think it is.)
    • Pick-and-choose from various disguise condition types, including suit only, guard only, cook only, or any combination of these and others.
    • Loose Disguise Only mode, where the roulette will only specify disguise conditions that can be found without pacifying or killing anyone - perfect if you want a no pacifications / no civilian kills roulette run.
    • Turn Start / Exit randomization on or off.
    • Choose starts by All Starts, Suit Starts Only, or Undercover Starts Only.
    • Option to require a disguise for when you exit the mission.
    • An easy "Advance to Next Mission" button that moves you along through the campaign.
    • A scorecard to tally up your points over an entire campaign (if you're an absolute dork like me).
    • Various other nifty options.

Things the World of Assassination Roulette can't do that they do:

    • No non-main campaign missions (No Patient Zero or Special Assignments yet, though Patient Zero is being worked on!)
    • No Contracts mode
    • No Elusive Target conditions
    • No randomized extra restrictions as seen in Kotti's roulette
    • No Tournament mode as seen in the Hitmaps roulette
    • No popout window
    • No support for Blood Money or any other game outside the World of Assassination games (Hitman 3 will be fully supported after it's out).

If you want to give it a try, check it out here: https://3facedjanus.github.io/

My DMs are open here on Reddit and I'm still an amateur at html/javascript, so if you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to message me / comment! (But read my list of planned features at the bottom before you do, please.)

Thanks for reading! Now I'll leave you to prepare...

    2:SA, not getting Silent Assassin?

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 10:11 PM PDT

I fired One shot (which was a headshot), 0 alerts, 1 guard killed, 0 guard injuries, 0 innocents killed or harmed.

I had 2 "close encounters" but according to the wiki, those don't effect anything. What's going on? Does anyone know of any aspect I may be missing that's disqualifying me? Is it only available above Normal? Does saving a certain amount nullify it?

    Theory about the wilsons

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 12:38 PM PDT

In Another Life, the couple throwing the BBQ are the Wilson's, and since I saw them they reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure it out...until today! I realized that the Wilson's are incredibly similar to Lucy and Ricky Ricardo in "I love Lucy"! Why? Because of a few reasons...

    1. Susan is white and Richard is Hispanic, just like in the show
    2. Susan is very 1950's, her dress is very similar to popular styles in that era, "I love Lucy" ran in the early 50's to the late 50's
    3. Susan has blond/strawberry blond hair, just like Lucy
    4. the names Richard and Ricardo are very similar

This is why I believe the Wilson's are references to the show "I Love Lucy"

    Hitman and ICA coins

Why doesn't IOI sell these? As someone who does a small amount of coin collecting I would be all over these. Would anyone else be interested?

    Hitman Absolution - thoughts?

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 02:41 PM PDT

I recently downloaded it again to replay it since I haven't played the game in years and want to experience it again. First thoughts.. After playing HITMAN 2, Absolution feels so heavy and clunky. HITMAN 2 in comparison feels much smoother and responsive. It's not fair to compare a 2012 game with a 2018 one, so I have to get used to it. As for the story, I always liked it. Not because it's good, but because it's so bad that it's actually funny and entertaining to watch, the Dexter cutscenes are hilarious.

    What are your thoughts?

    A quick favor

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 07:13 PM PDT

I have hitman 2 and hitman 1, played each mission in hitman 2 once each, and have played soo much of hitman 1, got all challenges in Paris ( except vampire magician,4/8), nearly all in Sapienza, nearly all in Marrakesh, and know trying to get all of them in Bangkok, then Colorado, then Hokkaido. If someone has done SASO in casual, then pro, then master. Please rank every mission including the bank and haven island on difficulty for SASO on each difficulty
