Hitman 2016 & 2018 side stories and world depth

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:09 AM PST

I heard so much all across the internet how those games are "short", how "I beat this game in one night", how the main story is so shallow and it's so unfair. I spent about 60 hours in the first game and now I'm 14 hours into Hitman 2 and didn't yet leave Miami.

There's so much content in one level, why do people get it all wrong? Like it's some racing game and you need to finish as fast as possible choosing the shortest route? There are so many ways in which you can go about eliminating your targets, a lot of which aren't even hinted at in the challenges tab. So many small details in the level itself, like two girls talking about a mascot getting jumped and the action actually taking place on the other side of the level, being able to speak to different people impersonating somebody, so many short dialogues between nameless npc that aren't even tied to the main story. The gaming community reception of this game is so misunderstood.

There's like on big mission and inside it a dozen little ones, in which you can participate, and also about a dozen little stories that immerse you into the world. In fact I decided to write this post after overhearing some of those stories, being dressed as Kronstadt mechanic, making Sierra win and following her around. How she speaks when her father "congratulates" her, it's so clear that she seeks his admiration, maybe the reason that she took up racing, looking up to her father. And how he only talks about the suit and the car AI, like his daughter had nothing to do with the victory, only the things he made. And the way he says something like "we'll speak again this week", what kind of father says that? It's like telling your daughter to make an appointment to see you. And later on in an interview the reporter tells Sierra that Robert said "this car could win the race on its own", I was goddamn speechless. Mostly about the depth of this side story that a lot of players probably didn't even hear and also about the fact that it made me empathize with someone I have to exterminate.

So yeah, no real purpose to this post, just wanted to finally voice my appreciation to IO Interactive for those beautiful games. I had incredible fun playing Hitman 2016 and am looking forward to spending just as much time playing Hitman 2 or even more.

'Elusive Style' contract: The Break-Up Artist

Any idea when will we get a new level?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 02:25 AM PST

I'm just wondering how much time is there between the levels. I'm not saying I'm fed up with Maladives and New York but… I'm waiting impatiently for the next story cutscene because I just want to know what happens next.

Found something interesting for the ledge glitch (Hitman 2016)

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 12:50 AM PST

(Might delete this) while I was messing around with the ledge glitch and air glitch (credit to these people who discovered said glitches https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/9k3p61/continuation_of_the_ledge_exploit_go_anywhere/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/9hc1h0/how_to_break_out_of_maps_in_hitman_with_the_new/) if you save again while in the air you won't get teleported back to the ledge you used air glitch on.

How to get Santa Fortuna SA in under 2 minutes?

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:40 PM PST

The record on the PS4 Leaderboard for Santa Fortuna - Three Headed Serpent is 1:55. (Master). And of course silent assassin. That is epically fast. Most other top runs are around 3 minutes. Anyone have ideas on what the trick is here?

Ok, I’m offering a challenge to all of you

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:28 PM PST

So you already killed the targets with your fancy suit and without any witness? And you killed also every person in the map afterwards? You think that you are good?

Then kill everyone except the target/s

If you kill everyone without the target noticing, you will earn the (insert name here aka post some cool name in comments)

Rules are the following: the target can't die, and you must kill everybody

Post your links to posts or videos trying out this challenge in the comment section, good luck!

Edit: this can be done in any hitman

    Weekly challenge contract for subreddit?

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 09:07 AM PST

Hey fellow hitman enthusiasts! I've been a long time lurker on the sub and as far as I've seen we haven't had any sort of community engagement in regards to sub created contracts. I would love to head something up like that if there is interest behind it.

How could it be structured to have it be challenging as well as community built? Randomize the map, weapon needed to kill and the target? Base it on speed? I'm open to suggestions!

I'd really like to do something that brings the sub together on a regular basis since we are going through repeat elusive targets at this point.

I think I just got screwed out of SA/SO on the New York level.

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:47 PM PST

I account share with my roommate and installed Hitman 2 on his system. I did a playthrough to unlock some stuff for him and challenge myself

I went into New York with only the lockpick MK2 and got Silent Assassin without once changing my outfit.

But I didn't get Suit Only for some reason. 🤷‍♂️
