what's on your wishlist for Hitman 3?

    Posted: 25 Jan 2020 07:52 AM PST

I like to have this discussion with other fans from time to time. whether you're a casual player, speedrunner or anything in between. i want to hear what you want in the next Hitman installment.

i'll try to summarize mine below, mostly gameplay changes:

    1. more (new) gadgets like remote tensioners, tripwire devices, EMP pistols, etc. items that interact with the world or NPCs in new and meaningful ways.

    2. enhanced AI - certain NPCs becoming suspicious if nearby NPCs go missing and don't return. more believable reactions to panic/gunfire/explosions - like civilians fleeing the map and despawning or running from the sources of the noise. NPCs should react to broken cameras, blood puddles, and disguises lying around - maybe even going as far as searching nearby body containers if blood is noticed. i also love the idea of getting reinforcements called to the map, but still managing to take out your target silent assassin style, while they're on lockdown, and patrols of hyper-aware armored guards move about the map searching for you (and they would respond to distractions a little differently/more aggressively).

    3. camera behavior - having different "evidence" hubs for different sections of the maps. can't take out one system and affect the entire map - each section has its own cameras and corresponding security hub. if a camera is noticed to be destroyed, an investigation occurs. if camera is disabled via EMP, you can avoid suspicion.

    4. more involved or varied types of stealth scoring. instead of silent assassin and time being the biggest factors that matter in your overall score, stealth could be graded differently or take more things into consideration. such as, no shots fired, no blood puddles created, no distractions created, no cameras disabled, all poison kills, all headshot kills, no running, no crouching, no pacifications, etc. not all of these need to be in as standalone modifiers, just giving some examples of how different types of runs could be incentivized without forcing silent assassin suit only as the ultimate stealth challenge - push it further.

    5. the ability to reset or prestige different challenges (or categories of challenges). seeing the badge and picture pop up, hearing that sound. it's nice. can offer some visual profile badge for those who care to do it.

    6. the ability to save multiple loadouts, not just one. this makes saving and returning to different mission approaches or strategies, a lot easier. could be tied to mastery rank unlocks, earn more as you get more mastery, maxing out at maybe 5 slots?

    Contract: The Shadow Cartel

    Posted: 25 Jan 2020 12:49 PM PST

    Contract: The Shadow Cartel

    Kill Order: 3-12-1927998-40

    Contract Type: Xbox One

    Contract Client(s):

    • Rico Delgado, Head of the Delgado Cartel

    Contract Payment:

    • $12,473,550.00 US
    • Blackmail material on ICA Assets in Central & South America

    Contract Status: Active

Contract Briefing: Good morning, 47. ICA has been undertaken by Rico Delgado, head of the Delgado Cartel, to deal with a mutual problem; however, this is not a traditional contract. Alongside an increased payment, Delgado has bribed the Board of Directors for a top-priority contract with classified information on ICA assets across Central and South America: spies, handlers, agents, whoever ICA has a direct or indirect involvement with are all in danger of being exposed on the Black Market for cheap. This is something that the Board cannot allow to happen, least of all at the hands of Rico Delgado.

However, there is a silver lining; Rico has claimed that, in sworn exchange for the destruction of the copies of files he has made for distribution as well as above-standard payment, he wishes for ICA's best for the termination of what he calls the "Delgado Shadow". Within the ranks of his thriving billion-dollar business, Rico has uncovered a plot to dethrone him by two primary targets: Andrea Martínez, once considered a close friend and the marketing genius behind the business of the Cartel, and Catalina Delgado, Rico's trophy wife, and a deceivingly cutthroat would-be usurper who holds a seeming grudge against her husband. They have also contracted the help of the Delgado household cooks, in an attempt to poison the head of the Delgado household, and one of the Delgado accountants, for the purposes of funneling Cartel funds to the primary targets. All 5 targets are to be terminated, "with extreme prejudice," in Rico's words.

While the Board would normally already agree to such a high pricetag for your services, there is greater incentive to ensure that each termination look like a tragic accident, and even greater incentive to not risk any collateral damage such as the elimination of non-targets. This contract risks mass exposure of ICA assets through most of the Southern Hemisphere, and any failure to adhere to a standard of perfect execution that ICA prides you for will make the head of the Delgado Cartel more likely to go back on his word, requiring yet another termination order to be established against a potentially regular client.

This is a dangerous situation 47: deep in the belly of the beast to terminate 2 extremely powerful & influential targets and their accomplices. ICA's business in the southern hemisphere is on the line, and we cannot risk any sort of failure. Start preparing as soon as possible, 47.

    Contract Conditions:

    • All targets are to be terminated in supposed "accidents" that cannot be linked to foul play of Rico Delgado. Additionally, the bodies of Andrea Martínez and Catalina Delgado should only exhibit trauma as a result of their "accidents".
    • In order to give ease of access to the majority of the targets, who reside in the Delgado residence, Rico Delgado is willing to infiltrate you as mansion staff of the Delgado household, though this is optional and he would prefer that you infiltrate the Delgado Compound without his assistance.
    • To ensure that handiwork cannot be traced back to ICA if one were to look too deeply, camera systems are to be disabled and recordings of your endeavors destroyed. Rico Delgado has graciously stated that the destruction of recordings and recording equipment can be replaced after the Delgado Shadow has been dealt with.
    • Collateral damage and discovery will immediately be considered contract failures. Rico Delgado has explicitly stated that there should be no trace. Pacifications are allowed, but the collateral must not be discovered at any costs.
    • ICA has hired the services of a boat-shop near the Santa Fortuna Bar for exfilltration. An ICA extraction team will be waiting at a nearby airstrip.

    New Player Backstory of 47?

    Posted: 25 Jan 2020 04:40 AM PST

So I played blood money on the original Xbox a lifetime ago when I was a kid, and only remember bits and pieces. I did play contracts but never finished it. I recently just bought and finished Hitman 2016's story and am gonna start playing hitman 2 soon.

However, I'm a little confused of the backstory and past events - I thought The agency was after 47 in BM or something and why was the agency making people like 47, and thus why is 47 still working for them in hitman 2016? - and every time I try and search google for the backstory, I always somehow stumble upon a little bit of info that spoils hitman 2 story a bit.

If anyone could give me a bit of a detailed backstory of the games before hitman 2016 that'd be great!

They should add a new game mode called Hunter or Hunted

    Posted: 25 Jan 2020 09:52 AM PST

It would be like a basic mission where you have to kill a target but here is where the multiplayer comes in. The other person plays the targets bodyguard and has to try and stop you before you kill the target.
