More features for the Surveillance System

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:53 AM PDT

So I have been thinking, there should be more features to the surveillance system/camera. 1. You should be able to access the video it records! It would be very helpful to track targets/NPC's route because it's all in one spot. 2. (I know this was in the early version of the game but it should be added back.) I'm going to use the church in sapienza for this example. In the church, there is a surveillance box in the basement. If you disable it, it disables the whole maps surveillance. The mansion and the biolab. Listen closely, a small church surveillance box disables a mansion and a underground, highly secure, secret biolabs surveillance.

A Brazilian setting in Rio de Janeiro for Agent 47

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:04 PM PDT

Agent 47 is no stranger to exotic places, having worked in Colombia and Chile before, and few places can be as exotic as Brazil, since there are widely different landscapes even in one single city - such as Rio de Janeiro.

(For the French at Ubi Paris)

Most people know Brazil through the movie Elite Squad. I believe Rio de Janeiro would be a mix of Sapienza, Mumbai and Marrakesh because the social inequality is astounding there, and you see very high class places close to miserable slums (favelas) coexisting side-by-side.

Beaches! The beach is the Carioca's habitat, everybody likes to show off at the beach. Actors from the soap-operas, tv hosts, musicians... you name it. The most famous beaches are Leblon (where the rich people go), Copacabana and Ipanema.

Mentions to those soup-operas on the news around the map, since that's the main mainstream media on Brazilian tv.

There is a strong military presence in the former capital with military colleges of higher learning (Command and Staff College, Naval War College etc) and élite units such as the parachute brigade and the marines. The world famous BOPE (Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais / Special Police Operations Battalion) would make an appearance of course. Ubi is very good in designing cool military outifts, as was the case with La Unidad.

This strong military presence is compounded by the current use of soldiers for law enforcement, as can be seen here. Those are marines patrolling the Leblon and Copacabana beaches, the most famous beaches in Brazil. The Marines made a joint effort with armoured vehicles in support of BOPE in 2010.

So we have both poor and rich people walking around with soldiers patrolling on foot and in vehicles. This could mean the following scenarios:

    - Killing of famous actors because they pissed off the wrong people.

    - Killing of a corrupt Admiral of the Marines.

    - The ocasional parachute jump in the distance for the brigade's usual qualification exercises.

    - A rogue BOPE officer with his own death squad.

    - Killing of druglords on top of the hills (morros).

    - Killing of crooked politicians.

    - A setting showing the weapons exhibit of LAAD Expo.

    - At least one military base to explore.

    - The Sugar Loaf and the Copacabana Fort.
