    Failed The Fixer Today :(

Shot the courier with a tranquilizer dart while he was still at the bar as a test run and instantly failed. First time failing at a ET and now ruins my perfect game that I've spent so many hours trying to complete every challenge. Never been so depressed

(Potentially unpopular opinion) We need more items like emetic gun and electrocution phone

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 02:15 AM PST

I think they bring awesome new ways to play this game. Does they make some challenges easy? Yes. I used the emetic gun to get the fortune teller disguise today. It saved me a lot of time. Does it ruin the fun? No I don't think so. It's not like electrocution phone kills are the only one I'm gonna be using from now on. They do save me a massive amount of hassle in the latest elusive targets. I think that's the point of the unlocks. They bring you new and exciting ways to the gameplay. A reward for diligent players. Locking it behind DLC... is a little annoying. I think it would be better if Hitman 3's base game has more unlocks like these.

On a totally separate note, I wish they can group all the different reskins together in one item slot. For example all ICA19 variants well be grouped under one item, and one can choose the skin in the planning phase. It will definitely make the unlocks from challenge packs seem very unappealing, but that's what they are now anyways. You are going through some massive troubles just to get a skin for an item you already have. Doing so will help organizing the inventory massively.

The dumbest way you could fail ET

I tried to complete The Fixer today. Tried to get the servers disguise by throwing a coin in the staff room. Guy with a fedora walks in and I passified him. Mission failed! Turns out he was the dealer. 🤦‍♂️

How hard would it actually be for IO to add a custom outfit system?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:21 AM PST

Many of us would like the ability to choose our own combinations of suit/tie/gloves in Hitman 3. But I'm wondering just how much work such a thing would require to implement.

Looking at the in-game models I think it's clear that there are a certain number of types of bodies with a much larger number of different heads that get swapped onto them- that's why you'll sometimes find faces and necks that are a much different skin tone than the bodies are.

As far as Agent 47 himself, I'm wondering how they break down his model- is it basically the same? When 47 changes disguise, is he pretty much just swapping his body to an already existing model used by NPC's, and swapping to a version of his own head with a hat or something when needed?

In other words, let's take Salvatore Bravuomo as an example- when you take that disguise, there is obviously an additional modeled version of 47's head with the wig on it. But was the body also modeled again for 47, or is it just the same body of the Bravuomo NPC, with 47's custom head swapped onto it? Meaning, is there a "47 version" of each body, or is it literally the same body as what the NPC was using in most cases?

Now let's look at 47's suits which are obviously not worn by NPC's.

Isn't it basically just heads and bodies getting swapped around? Meaning, IO couldn't simply allow us to change ties or gloves because those are not independent entities from the body... but, theoretically, you could put any 47 head on and 47 body?

I have a strong feeling that this is the case- that the various 47 suits are put together with tools that do not exist in the game engine, and then are compiled and exported to the game. I'm sure whatever software they use allows them to call up "Driving Gloves" and place them on the model, but those individual elements don't exist in the game files. The gloves are part of the suit, not separate, as far as the game is aware.

What this means is that for IO to add a custom suit maker, they would have to build a user-friendly and intuitively interfaced version of their character modeling software and shrink it down to a size that could work inside the game, allowing us to essentially do what they do- load and apply different 3D models onto targeted points, and "export" it as a new model for use within the game.

This isn't like Red Dead where the character is broken into pieces and when you make a custom outfit, you're just telling the game which model file to load for each piece of clothing- Hitman works a lot differently than that.

So my question is... is it even feasible for IO to develop this feature?

    Hitman HUD

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:54 PM PST

Am I the only one that plays Hitman without the mini-map and weapon HUD? Whenever I watch people play I always see them on but I feel it's useless since I know what weapon I have equipped and know wether I'm wielding it or not. Instincts make the mini-map kinda useless for tracking enemies/targets. Am I the only one who feels this way?
